After trying to print a filament spool roller a couple times, I decided that some jobs are still better done in wood. The result is a quick 'n dirty spool roller that only requires 3D printing small bearing spacers. Of course you'll also need some wood, a saw, a drill, drillbits, and drill. Instructions Materials 8 bearing spacers (see the file, download, and print 8x22x7 mm bearings (which is Inner Diameter, Outer Diameter, and width) a 2"x2" board split in half roughly and then cut into shorter sections. 1.5" sheetrock screws Process: Cut the board Drill holes in the pieces. Push screws through holes Put a bearing spacer over the screw. Then put the bearing on over the screw. Put a second bearing spacer on the bearing. Screw the screws into the other block of wood. Make another one so that you can get your spools of PLA rolling..
