Since this design is based on N1bbles awesome Quick Release (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3317013) a lot of the info there applies to this one here as well. So I'm just gonna copy/paste the most important bits.

printed out of PLA with the following settings:

.2mm layer height

2.0 mm walls (or 5 wall layers)

1.0 mm top/bottom (5 layers)

75% infill

No rafts or supports needed as long as you position correctly in Cura.

Meant to work with M5 bolts and nuts. The M5 15 mm Long should be about the right size.

Since I live in PR China and got my quick release clamp locally it won't do you any good if I post the taobao link here ;P Suffice to say, though, any 34.9mm clamp should do.

To make the USB connectors fit you've got to shave off the outer casing completely. The female connector goes into the hub whilst the male connector is meant for wheel mount.

Take a gander at the pictures for reference.

You've got to disassemble the wheel base quite a bit to attach the wheel hub. Here's a video on how to do it for reference (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eh2kvgKWgYg). Unfortunately it's completely in Russian but it's the only such video I could find and it should give you an idea on how to take the wheel base apart.

Once the connectors have been properly seated and tested for functionality you should definitively glue them in place with super glue, epoxy or any other means you feel are approriate. You don't wanna have to disassemble everything on account of one of the connectors coming loose on you, trust me.

The tolerances are super tight, so sanding is an absolute must. Especially the wheel mount's edges, the part of the wheel hub B (the part that goes into the Momo's wheel base) and the corners of the USB-plug holes.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Anycubic

Printer:

Large Size Chiron

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.2

Infill:

75%

Filament: esun PLA black

Category: Video Games
