This is a copy of Thing 969358, resized for 3/8-16 threaded rod. The pivot shaft is a 1/8" rod pressed. It is intended to be a core to which other features can be added. It is available at OnShape.com - the link is goo.gl/wjzSfb. If you are an OnShape user, you can copy this and modify it to your purpose. Here is a quick movie of it: https://youtube.com/video/6ufaXOkC9cM/ This will slide easily in one direction and will tend to lock down in the other direction. It really wants some pressure applied to keep it locked down. This is a piece of my project to make a good vertical slide for the low-cost USB microscopes and so the weight of the microscope itself will provide the desired force. But if used horizontally, you might want some spring force applied. I've printed this in ABS and it worked well. I have not tried PLA.
