While filming my scale model building videos, I use a cheap approximately 20cm width ring light. It has an epoxy glued phone mount on it. I put it above my working space with an enlarger stand and a massive ball head with 2" x 1.6" quick release plate. The weight of the phone occasionally causes a unscrewing and the video pin on the plate doesn’t work with the ring light. So, I designed this thicker quick release plate with a 15mm gap for the ring light. I used a 1/4” screw from an unused plastic quick release plate.
