IMPORTANT: One file uses a PrusaSlicer box modifier on the clip portion. If you use another slicer, this box will physically print out in place of the clip. Use the other 3MF file. The clip portion requires you to slow down for the extreme overhang.

The stock fan shroud on the Ender 3V2 was causing this high-pitched sound, and it started to annoy me when the printer was idle. The screech is caused by how the fan shrouds are designed. I found that if there is a fan guard with lots of holes or a mesh, those holes increase the pitch of the sound or even the dB! More info here.

So in order to reduce this, and help with part cooling, I re-designed the stock fan shroud while preserving its aesthetic. There is no longer a mesh covering the fans. While some say it is worth covering the fans with a guard of some sort, many printers (including Prusa) don't have fan guards. And I have been running my modification for a month now (prior to submitting here) to test the durability and no issues or fingers have been chopped off. =)

The stock parts are still used including the screws. No need to purchase anything to make this thing fit. The hole on this print are slightly press-fitted for the screws, so brass inserts didn't have to be used. Before attaching the fans, insert the screws into each hole just to ease them a bit for entry later. Then assemble everything as usual.

The PSU fan will still be noticeable, but at least the hotend fan won't be annoying when idle.

Printing info (already included in the 3MF if using PrusaSlicer):

Material: PETG (hotend = 235*C / bed = 70*C)

Layer Height: 0.2mm

Perimeters = 3

Infill = 25% (Grid)

The Revo CR also works with this shroud. I have installed and tested it myself. Enjoy!
