Quilting Ruler Holder

Quilting Ruler Holder

This is a custom quilting ruler holder I designed and made for my wife to hold her quilting rulers. The primary version of the holder is split into two pieces so they can be printed on a standard sized printer. The holder is 14" long when assembled and has 6 slots for rulers. The half parts are printed twice and the clips are printed three times. I have also included a pre-oriented assembly that will fit on an 8 x 8 printer bed for those that do not want to load and orient the individual parts themselves. I used Krazy glue to put the parts together. There is a version that is full size for those with printers large enough to print it in one go. 10/13/21 - By request a 7" middle extension part with tab slots on both ends has been added to the downloads to enable creation of a 21" long ruler holder. When printing this part you will need to print 6 tabs instead of three. Still print two of the current ends to make a complete extended length ruler holder. Enjoy! It is recommended that you use thermally calibrated filament for the print as the clips are a very tight tolerance fit. The slots for the rulers are designed to be just wide enough to fit the rulers and keep them from flopping around but not so tight to scrape the markings on them and damage them. I used these clips for calibration: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2502677
