Quimbaya 360 based spheric photo head

thingiverse

This is a 3D printable modification of Mario Carvajal's original Quimbaya 360 panoramic photo head, You can find his work in http://www.mariocarvajal.com http://www.fotografia360.org/ or https://www.kamaradas.com/ This printing has been done in ABS with a 100% infill for it to also be used with heavy cameras. I don't know how hard PLA can be but I suppose it can also be used, the principal parts are 8mm thick. The STLs are ready to print. You only need to add supports on the wheels where the knots go and on the botom of part C. ABS tends to bend while printing, just in case you find some strange parts in the FreeCAD files. See the photos to se how I added a fast release mount for the camera. The instructions on how to put everything together are here:http://www.mariocarvajal.com/construccion-de-rotula-panoramica-casera-diy-panoramic-head/ The screw that holds part B and C can be a screw with the eliptical plastic head or as in the pictures, a bike fast release screw like the ones on the rires or seat. With the settings I describe it took me about 30 hours just to print everything. If you need more info send me a message. I hope you like it. Print Settings Printer: Prusa I3 customized BQ Hephestos Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 100 Notes: Printed with Prusa I3 customized BQ Hephestos variant.
