Quintus Tullius Cicero (/ˈsɪsᵻroʊ/; Classical Latin: [ˈkɪkɛroː]; 102 BC – 43 BC) was a Roman statesman and military leader, the younger brother of Marcus Tullius Cicero. He was born into a family of the equestrian order, as the son of a wealthy landowner in Arpinum, some 100 kilometres south-east of Rome. The origins of this bust are unknown, and the mould is probably a reworking of an original bust depicting Cicero. The body is that of a Roman emperor, perhaps from the ancient marble bust of Marcus Aurelius.
