Welcome to the next generation of gaming peripherals. This ergonomic stylish Mouse offers a distinct new take on the old style of gaming mice. Take a closer look at the side view, and you realize that the mouse in-fact does look like a running mouse. Notice how my design has no scroll wheel, well the smooth high response touch activated bar replaces the wheel just fine. When gaming, simple gestures will act much quicker than spinning the scroll wheel. Keyshot integration offers the rendering of wood, textured plastic, leather, LED, and brushed aluminum. I wanted to make something unique to the "original" mouse design. The design is inspired from nature and our surroundings. The shape is fish-like (with the tail) while the side looks like a running cheetah or rat. The wooden accents capture the modern but natural nature of the mouse (and I haven't really seen mice made of wood). Humans desire the looks of nature as beautiful and aesthetically appealing, so I wanted to make sure I had integrated natural elements in my design. The contours are swift-like, and elegant. Most gamers prefer extremely lightweight mice, so my design satisfies the name "Lightspeed". The rendering captures the essentials of what is possible with Keyshot integration and PolyJet capabilities. It still blows my mind that a 3d printer can simulate the looks of leather and wood. The leather and wooden style demonstrates the wide range of textures and colors that PolyJet can handle. Unlike traditional 3d printers, you don't get those ugly lines, and you get the freedom to print full realistic textures and designs. Not only did this challenge allow me to take a closer look at the design of my own mouse at home, but allowed me to stretch the limits to what was possible in the design of gaming mice. This is my first time using Keyshot, and it won't be my last.
