R-CNC spindle Control
thingiverse
This R-CNC add-on circuit measures spindle RPM and integrates seamlessly with existing R-CNC wiring. A comprehensive wiring diagram is provided to ensure a smooth integration process. The Arduino Nano and Hall Effect sensor module work together in perfect harmony, while all STL files were designed or modified using Sketchup's powerful tools. To enable the hall module to detect revolutions accurately, a magnet was inserted into a ring attached to the spindle fan. Critical connections require armored cable attached to ground to prevent EMI from affecting the LCD and Arduino as well as the Hall Sensor. An Arduino Sketch utilizing I2C library for 1602 LCD is provided, along with an Eagle file (brd) featuring a printed circuit board (pcb). Due to excessive EMI generated by spindle power supply cables over step motor cables and LCD, it was necessary to reroute the spindle power supply cable through a second X cable chain on the opposite side.
