R188 fidget spinner
thingiverse
I created this hybrid R188 spin bearing to test its performance, combining it with more affordable 608 bearings on the periphery. A happy bearing cap is included, because why not add another option in a crowded market of spinner designs?\r\n\r\nThe model remains marked as a work in progress since the main body needs to be .5-1 mm thicker; I'll achieve this goal and update it later. When I do, I'll upload the final version.\r\n\r\nOn 2017/11/15, I finalized the dimensions of both the spinner and cap; the STL files were updated accordingly.\r\n\r\nIn January 2018, I added V2 STLs designed for printing with ABS plastic. The PLA spinners proved fragile over time, so I opted for a more durable material. I also revised the spinner body to print without supports and introduced a lip within the R188 hole, allowing the bearing to rest securely against it. The V2 cap is longer due to the deeper bore accommodating the bearing. Happy spinning!
