This project started as a question from a friend about 3D printing and kind of snowballed into what you see here. The model is intended as a birthday cake decoration and is my attempt at replicating the recipients own kart from a photo. The project was a great learning experience (albeit a stressful one with the birthday deadline) getting proportion right, trying different assembly techniques and printing using different colours. It's effectively a commision so i can't share the model files (I haven't even printed one for myself) but I hope my experience might help inspire others to give design/modelling a go and maybe surprise themselves. I'm happy to answer questions on the techniques I used (I've tried to show this in the final sequence of screenshots).
