Racing Wing Bungee Keel with TPU Brake

This is another Bungee Launch Hook. This is actually a remix of a remix,.......if there is in fact such a thing. Anywho, atron73 designed the original HC44 Keel and it can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2150913 Then JCatRC integrated a bungee hook into the design. Great idea, but I like printing the keel in TPU as it acts like a brake on firmer landing surfaces. Printing the entire design in TPU probably wouldn't work to well as the hook would flex etc (I'm purely speculating here). So I removed the rear section of the keel, made it taller by a few millimeters, and added a 5mm peg on the bottom. This brake is designed to be printed in TPU at MAX infill. You will need supports to make sure the peg is printed properly. Print the keel base in PETG or your favorite hard plastic (with supports) and joint the two with hot glue. Once your brake gets worn out, use rubbing alcohol to release the old brake, peel away any excess old hot glue on the keel base, and glue in another brake. These parts scale really well for oversized printing. Enjoy!!
