Rack and Pinion Claw

Rack and Pinion Claw

thingiverse

This is a rack and pinion claw powered by a single micro servo. Use a 360 or infinite degree servo for maximum range, but 180 degree servos also work. Rotate the servo counterclockwise to expand and clockwise to clamp. There are 4 parts: claw base, claw left, claw right, and pinion gear. The pinion gear was made by MANUEL666 on Cults3D. Assembly is simple. Insert the servo (direction shouldn't matter), screw in the pinion gear onto the servo, then insert both arms. They can only be fit in one way. This claw was used in the IAM3D contest of 2023.
