Rack Ear Template

Server Rack Ear - A "blank" rack ear meant to be a starting point for your own design. I guess you could try printing the template very dense and drill it. There is also a design for a rack ear to mount an AKG APS4 Antenna Splitter in an Odyssey Half Rack Flight Case. If you're actually here for that very specific use case, this rack ear assumes you already have the one regular rack ear included with the kit. You cannot use two of these because the APS4 will not fit in the remaining space. This rack ear runs the length of the case, has tabs on both ends, and is meant to be screwed in at both ends. Blender File Included - Send me a message if you need help understanding the way I organized the project. Printing - This is going to hold your fancy equipment, so print it strong. I printed the version described below with **4 shells and 40% infill**. Remember that you will be screwing into it. There is a reinforced version of the APS4 rack ear that has intentionally placed voids which causes the slicer to generate internal shells that surround the screw holes and also run the length of the ear. These voids are 1.6mm apart from each other and the outer walls and *must* be printed with shells totaling at least .8mm thick in order for the reinforcements to merge, but really should be printed at least 1.6mm thick to fully support the screws from underneath. For a .4mm nozzle, this is 2 shells minimum, 4 shells strongly recommended.
