Rack Rail - 19" Rack Mount

This is a scalable rack rail for 19" rackmount equipment. I designed it to work with 10-32 rack screws and 10-32 hex nuts. There are slots on the back of the rail for the nuts to be pressed into. It is a bit of a tight fit (I had to use the screws to draw the nuts into place), but they fit and no glue is required to hold them in place. I used #8 pan head wood screws to attach the rails to the cabinet. #10 screws would probably fit as well. I've provided stl files for 1u, 2u, and 4u rails. If any other length is desired, you can use the SCAD file to create them. To do so, open the SCAD file and set the variable, RU, on the first line of the code equal to the number of rack units that you would like. You can then render the model (note: it may take a while for longer rails), and export the stl. There are four other variable just below this which define the dimensions of the holes for all of the mounting hardware. You may want to check the measurements of your hardware against what I have programmed and adjust these as necessary. I printed mine at 10% infill using Duramic 3d Premium PLA Plus. They came out nice and seem to be plenty strong.
