Radial Piston Engine Model

Radial Piston Engine Model

This is a hand-cranked model of a 8 cylinder radial engine. The radial engine is a reciprocating type internal combustion engine configuration in which the cylinders "radiate" outward from a central crankcase like the spokes of a wheel (source: Wikipedia). To assemble, print the following parts, and follow the assembly procedure. - Cylinder Block - Handle - Rotor - Pin - Hub Bottom (Requires support) - Hub Top - Piston (x 8ea) - Rod (x 7ea) The "un-sectioned" cylinder block is also uploaded, but I have not tried printing it (I am not entirely sure if it the parts can be assembled into it). I designed in some slack in each of the parts, but you may want to make sure that all parts fit with sufficient clearance for smooth motion. EDIT: I was notified after publishing this model that 4 stroke radial engines require an odd number of cylinders. As an correction, I designed an 7 cylinder version of this model. If you are interested in making this model and prefer making a more "accurate" version, please see my 7 cylinder version. (A 2 stroke "diesel" radial engines, which are rare, are fine with an even number of cylinders.) 7 Cylinder version available here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3652570
