RADIAL/STAR MOTOR

RADIAL/STAR MOTOR

This model of radial or star motor does not have a bearing to rotate smoothly but you can make its movement and observe how its inner mechanism moves. It has a simple mechanism that can be easily assembled. TIPS AT THE TIME OF ASSEMBLY: I recommend sanding the parts that have inside diameters that will move to generate a smooth movement without minor friction between parts. At least sand the liners, a little bit of the crankshaft on the part that will meet the star connecting rod. The cylinder liners are fully assembled to the engine body with bolts and nuts to secure them well. Look for the ones that fit best. The pins are the pieces that will hold the parts together as shown in the picture, you can replace them with something else to your liking but the pins are fine. Talking about the configuration to print them, I just recommend to put a good 45-50% filler to the engine body and the crankshaft as well, as they will hold weight and should not be fragile parts!!!!!! A little bit also for the tip piece to make sure the blade supports don't break (50% or 40%). The tip must be glued to the crankshaft using some glue, I preferred to put kolaloka. Soon I will upload the modified model to put a bearing and to be able to move it without problems. THANK YOU!!!!
