Radius Gauges - Imperial and Metric

Radius Gauges - Imperial and Metric

thingiverse

This is a complete set of radius gauges, in metric and imperial sizes: 1/32" thru 1", by 1/32" increments 1mm thru 25mm, by 0.5mm increments Each gauge has five measuring edges: 90-degree convex 180-degree convex 45-degree concave 90-degree concave 180-degree concave Note that most 3D printers will deviate slightly from perfect dimensions. You can use this to your advantage. If you use these gauges to measure the radius of a part to be 10mm, you know that when you design something with a 10mm radius and print it on your printer, it will fit. Since you printed the gauges on the same printer you will be using, they automatically compensate for any imperfections in calibration. This is an OpenSCAD project. A zip file is included with the OpenSCAD files, windows batch files and size lists needed to automatically generate all of the STL files included in this thing. A zip file of all the STL files for all of the sizes is also included. The gauge set shown in the photos was printed using eSun PETG black: http://amzn.to/28WRGNd The holes in the gauges allow them to be kept in sets on 2" binder rings: http://amzn.to/28WXXX8 When you click on these links and make a purchase, it can result in commissions from Amazon that help support my work. Print Settings Printer: MakerFarm Prusa i3v Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .2mm Infill: 40% Notes: I printed mine in PETG, but any rigid plastic, including ABS and PLA should work.
