RAF C-17 Globemaster III Low-poly 3D model

An accurately scaled and modeled low polygon C-17 Globemaster currently in use by the Royal Air Force of the United Kingdom. With a polygon count of just 3920 (7020 tris) this model has been professionally developed for simulation and game use. It is properly uv mapped and fully textured. The primary texture is a 2048 x 2048 bitmap. All control surfaces, including flaps, slats, ailerons, elevators, rudder, thrust reversers, and landing gear are independent objects for easy animation. This model is available here in .3ds, .fbx, .flt, .lwo (v 6.0), .max (v 2008), and .obj formats. The C-17 Globemaster is a modern strategic transport aircraft developed in between the 1980’s and the 1990’s by McDonnell Douglas. Although its primary purpose is strategic airlift, it is also capable of performing tactical airlift, medical evacuation, and airdrop missions. Since its introduction in 1993 with the United States Air Force, it has also been ordered by the air forces of the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Qatar, NATO, the UAE and India. The United Kingdom became the first international customer in May 2000 when they arranged to lease four aircraft. The RAF was so pleased with the C-17 that they purchased the four leased aircraft and ordered a further three, bringing the total to seven aircraft. All British C-17s are based at Brize Norton Airbase in Oxfordshire.
