A rough idea needing some more development. The parts print without support. Glue the rails on top of the portals. HO containers can be found on Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:43910 One small geared motor takes care of positioning, while a second one lifts and lowers the containers. Here is still some work to do. Think of glueing some metal nuts in the container and activate a coil to clamp and lift.
