This is a bracket for attaching rain gutters to walls for vertical gardening. You can fill the gutter with dirt and grow that way or fill it with rocks and use it for hydroponics or aquaponics. However you like to grow your food just make sure to grow more of it! Video of the system in action: https://vimeo.com/45814238 Instructions -Required pieces for one assembled bracket- Qty 1: 1/4 X 1-1/4 washers Qty 2: 10x1 wood screws Qty 1: 3d printed rain gutter mounting bracket Qty 1: twine or wire (if filling the gutter with rocks instead of dirt) -Parts required for one 10 foot length of gutter- Qty 3: bracket + screws + twine/wire if needed Qty 1: home depot vinyl rain gutter Qty 2: home depot vinyl rain gutter end caps -Assembly- Drill holes in the front face of the gutter end cap that will be on the low side(the draining side). Attach to a fence using the screws and a washer on the top screw. If you use a cup of water and pour it down the gutter then you can see which way the water is going to flow and alternate the gutters so the watter flows down the fence from one gutter to the next. If you are filling the gutters with rocks for hydro or aquaponics then you will need to reinforce each bracket with some twine or wire running under the gutter, through the front hole on the bracket, and back to the wall mount. That lets you hold the gutter tight against the wall instead of having it lean out too far. -Todo- Design end caps with drain holes that cost less than $2.50 each. -Latest Revision- Rev 2 -Change Log- Rev 2 (5/13/13) Added back some material to the wall side of the part. The ones in the back yard made out of ABS cracked at that spot after a few months with 3 brackets on one rain gutter filled with dirt. The original brackets with no material removed at the wall side of the bracket are still looking good with 3 brackets per gutter.
