Raindrop Water Lily

Raindrop Water Lily

thingiverse

This is a simple decorative model consisting of a water lily inside of a raindrop. It was inspired by the phrase “April showers bring May flowers.” 1) It is recommended that the raindrop water lily is printed at a size of at least 120% to allow for better print of the petals and stamen. 2) For minimized bleeding of darker colours (such as green and blue) into lighter colours, it is recommended that users set the variable transition lengths to strong and increase the “maximum transition length” (Project Settings>Transition>Variable Transition Lengths). 3) To avoid the small raindrop base on the first layer from peeling off the build plate, it is recommended to add a brim (Project Settings>First Layer>Skirt/Brim). To apply a brim rather than a skirt, set the “horizontal gap from part” to 0. Based on how small the model is, more outlines and layers can be helpful (the smaller the part, the more outlines and layers suggested). 4) If clear filament is chosen for the water, it may be helpful to set the infill density (Project Settings>Infill>Infill Density) to 100% to eliminate the infill pattern from being visible. 5) Project Difficulty: 2/5
