Rainwater collector square insert

Rainwater collector square insert

This insert, fits in the top expansion joint of my square gutter pipe to collect rainwater (this adds a bit of height so i did have to trim the top of the gutter pipe). There is a hole in the middle which a bit of hose pipe can be inserted into so that the rainwater drains away to a water butt. There is a chute in the corner for overflow protection, the idea being in case the water butt gets full then this would stop water backing up into the hose pipe and then filling the gutter. With this, if it starts to back up and the water level gets too high then it will go down the overflow and drain away normally down the gutter down pipe. There is also a cuff to keep the collector and the top of the gutter pipe all lined up. No supports are required, i printed at 222 degrees on the extruder and 50 degrees on the bed using the standard print quality setting and 3DQF PLA filament.
