The Raise3D N1 printer comes with great spool holders. Unfortuantely, they're a little stubby, and sometimes the spools slip off of them. Additionally, I find that they're not able to fill the spool hub (hole), which causes drag on the filament when feeding. I customized this original design http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:735213 with the following 3 important variable Tube Diameter - 30.5mm Height - 68mm Spool Diameter - 55mm this fits inside the Raise3D PLA and Raise3D Preimum PLA spools nicely, and allows them to turn easily on the roll holder. Created with Customizer! http://www.thingiverse.com/apps/customizer/run?thing_id=735213 Instructions I printed in PLA at 215 right nozzle (205 if left) on a 65 bed with buildtak. I printed it at 40mm/s (because the roll was dragging at 60mm/s and causing skips, hence printing this hub!) I printed with no support, on a raft, at 24% infill. If you wanted to print it PETG (I use eSun) it would be fine as well. I usually print that at 248 with a 95-98 bed, 40-50mm/s. I reduce the flow rate to about 94%, retraction is 25mm/s for 1.0mm Hub was Customized Using the following options: tube_diameter = 30.5 height = 68 spool_diameter = 55 (other things I didnt change include...) arm_compression = 1 inner_diameter_backlash = 1 arm_thickness = 2.4 arm_end_diameter = 5 chamfer_depth = 2 quality = 80 collar_thickness = 2 number_of_arms = 5 wall = 3
