I designed this raised cat food bowl for Curie (You can guess what animal she is...) She's only a year old, but for any cat of any age, a raised food bowl is much better than a standard one close to the floor. A food bowl higher above ground is more comfortable for cats to eat from.The raised high helps prevent dust and dirt from entering their food.A raised eating position is better for feline digestion.Feels better on joints for older cats, or cats that are recovering from injury.Be sure to only use this bowl for DRY food. Anything with moisture will allow the growth of bacteria and mold between the microscopic layer lines. I you wish to use wet food without worry, please coat thoroughly with a food safe sealant.
