RAM 3500 Gas Pedal Extension

RAM 3500 Gas Pedal Extension

thingiverse

This is a pedal extension for the gas (diesel) pedal on the 2014 RAM 3500 truck to make the gas pedal the same distance as the brake pedal. This makes it more comfortable for me, personally, to drive. It has both bumps and clips underneath to keep the extension on the pedal but USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. I may very well superglue/epoxy the entire thing to my pedal just to be extra careful for safety in case I accidentally kick it hard while driving or something. I'm also including the Sketchup file so you can modify it however you like. The "golden pedal" in the Sketchup file is pretty much an exact wrapper around the factory pedal, and the extension and logos (just from searching the internet) are added on top of it. Again, USE AT YOUR OWN RISK! Instructions Printed on a Makerbot Replicator 2X using Makerware's "Low" setting with a build plate temperature of 120 degrees and black raft and supports. MBI Black filament in the left extruder and Dark Sanguine red in the right. Printed directly on on the standard kapton tape that the 2X comes with. At 120 degrees in my 2X no extra spray or anything is needed to keep the raft on the plate. (Sometimes at 110 or 115 degrees I'll still get a raft to start peeling up at the corners half way through a print.) Build time was 10 hours 25 minutes. Temperature in the room was around 72 degrees and relative humidity was between 47% and 51%. All of the support was pretty easy to get off with a pair of needle nose pliers. I used dental floss to floss the cracks around the clips so that they could bend in and out freely. The floss was mint flavored.
