I had plenty of Harbor Freight metric fasteners. Using 6mm x30mm and 6mm x 50mm hex bolts and nuts plus one lock washer I reinforce the ball with a through bolt. I'll get the ball files up shortly. Since the fasteners are common and available locally here in the US that is what I used.
