Rambone Slingshot BonePlate Arrow Adapter

Update 3/14/2016: Added new "flexgate" model. No need to "thread the needle" when nocking an arrow and it works great with large fishing or turkey broadheads too! I printed this arrow adapter in solid nylon (tricky due to nylon's high shrinkage). Other materials should work too. Just tie the adapter onto your Rambone slingshot using the bandset's wrap and tuck ties. Make sure that you center the bands on the arrow bore in an outside the forks / through the forks (OTF / TTF) band configuration as shown in the photo here. The standard "bore" diameter is sized for 5/16" diameter arrow shafts. Simply drill or "Dremel" out the bore more for larger shafts. 0.015" clearance around the shaft (0.030" additional diameter) is recommended to accommodate shooter errors in shaft alignment. I shot the pictured 650 gr. 36" wood arrows at 149.5 fps over my chrony during testing on a cold day in the mid 40s F. This required me to pull my Simple-Shot.com slingbow bandset finger tab to 38" in a semi-butterfly style. The pull was about 50 lbs. and it was really too much for me to achieve good accuracy or even shoot comfortably (it's bio-mechanically very tough to shoot semi-butterfly with 50 lbs. bandsets), but it shows what is possible (44 J / 32 ft-lbs).
