Range control knob spacer (for LG range)

thingiverse

These are spacers and (temporary) storage for the front-end control knobs for an LG LDE4415ST range. The cooktop elements are turned on by pushing inward on the control knobs and turning the knob. The knobs are quite sensitive and it's very easy to turn on the cooktop elements by mistake (bumping into them, reaching over the cooktop, etc.). This design was prompted to protect against accidentally turning on the elements (which indeed happened to me just before I created this design). The spacers fit between the knob and the front panel to prevent pushing the knobs. Made for easy insertion or removal, and fits fairly comfortably (not perfect, but sufficient). Do not remove the know and place the spacer--simply insert it through the top-end, as shown in the pictures. (NOTE: if placed before while the knob is off, the knob can still be pushed and turned with the spacer in between--I haven't looked into this more carefully as sliding it into place is sufficient.) The box is for temporary storage for the spacer while cooking (i.e., to keep it out of the way). Print Settings Rafts: No Supports: No Notes: Print shown was made with Monoprice Maker Architect.
