Ranger EX - DJI Digital FPV mounts

thingiverse

These are FPV mounts specifically designed for the Caddx Vista unit, and a Polar Starlight camera or the DJI Air Unit It has been designed to fit on the foam canopy of a Ranger EX FPV Plane. You will need: 4x 18mm M3 bolts 4x M3 nyloc nuts 4x 18mm M2 bolts 2x 4mm M2 bolts Print both .STL files in the material of your choice. Place the FPV mount onto the foam deck of your FPV aircraft, and make sure it's straight. Using the 4 corner holes as a guide, drill through (or use the long M3 bolts) the foam beneath each corner of the part. Place the 4x 18mm M3 bolts through the top part, down through the foam so they stick out below the foam. Slide the bottom plate up the M3 bolts and secure in place with the nyloc nuts, sandwiching the foam between the 2 parts. There is no requirement for nuts for the M2 bolts, the Vista unit is secured in place by the M2 bolts screwing directly into the 3D printed material. Only use 2x M2 bolts, at opposing corners. This is plenty to secure the Vista unit, and if you ever strip out one of the holes, you can swap corners (or print another part). One of the files is the cura profile I used to print these parts in standard PLA on a Creality Ender 3, glass bed with pritt-stick type glue for adhesion, and the Creality3D Direct Drive conversion and BigTreeTech SKR E3 Mini main board. Use the settings in my cura profile at your own risk. It is your responsibility to ensure you print within the tolerances of your own materials and equipment.
