After building the Spyda 500 quad by Gyrobot, I decided to design my own: The Raptor 500. It uses the same hole patterns for the arms as Spyda 500 and DEEJAYEYE. My setup includes: EMAX 2213 935kv motors EMAX 30A ESCs Ardupilot APM 2.6 w/ telemetry and power module 11.1 5000mAh batteries Beitian M8N GPS Chinese gimbal with Storm32 gimbal controller. Arms: 40% Gimbal Mount Plate: 20% APM Mount: 20% Battery Stabilizers: 20-25% How I Designed This Solidworks UPDATES March 24, 2017 Added new chassis plate for traditional X arm pattern. "Raptor 500 Chassis Plate v3.1 - X Pattern". April 3, 2017 Added new chassis plate with "Raptor 500" name. Added new arm file for 35mm height for those that want to add anodized aluminum standoffs. Original arms are at 36mm. height. Additionally, the new arms have an 8mm thick center spar for reduced flexing. Added new standoff file for 35mm height. Added new SolidWorks renders for the new chassis plate.
