Raspberry Pi 1U Rack / Unifi

thingiverse

A Raspberry Pi companion rack for my Unifi 8-port 150W PoE switch (US-8-150). This is a great combo for your media closet as the Unifi switch is passively cooled so no loud fans and the fans on the official PoE hats are extremely quiet. This rack will fit three Raspberry Pi 3's or Raspberry Pi 4's with official PoE hats. Each of the trays slide out for easy access to your Pi. The design uses steel rods to create interlocking joints that lock the tray carriages and the end brackets in place - no glue, friction joints and a couple screws, that's it and it's solid. **Tip:** Use a hand file to take the sharp edge off the end of the steel rod then make a small v-shaped notch in the end (as pictured). As you push the rod through rotate it and the notch will clean up the inside of the tube. **Hardware:** 12 - 2.5M x 8mm screws (4 for each tray) 4 - 3M x 12mm screws w/ nuts (2 for each mounting bracket) 2 - 240mm (9.5") x 3/16" non-threaded steel rods (you can find 3ft lengths are most box hardware stores) All the parts can be printed without rafts or supports. There are several 45 degree overhangs which most printers can cleanly reproduce without supports. The tolerances are tight especially for the steel rod. **Note:** The faceplate needs to be rotated at a 45 degree angle to fit on the Ultimaker3 build plate. The rack consists of FOUR stl files, for some reason only one is showing in the previews. If anyone knows why please let me know. Thanks.
