Raspberry Pi 3/3+ Case with Magnetic Mount

thingiverse

This is a case for a Raspberry Pi 3/3+ that uses magnets to easily attach it to any steel or iron surface. I attached my Raspberry Pi to an enclosure made from Ikea BROR shelving by using this feature. The design that inspired me to create this was based on a model found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2869086 I chose to create a new design because the original had many errors and warnings in its F360 files, making it easier for me to start from scratch and use the original as a reference. The Raspberry Pi model was imported from this SolidWorks design: https://grabcad.com/library/raspberry-pi-3-reference-design-model-b-rpi-raspberrypi-raspberry-pi-2 Magnet holes in this design fit these magnets perfectly: https://www.michaels.com/promag-neodymium-magnets/10413548.html If you want to customize for another magnet size or shape, the Fusion 360 source is available.
