I was looking for a case to mount my Raspberry Pi 3 on my Ender-3 S1. I liked the design by aerandir14 (itself a modification of a design by SailllingStone), but there was a couple of things I didn't like -Access to the microSD card was a royal pain -Access to the power port was a somewhat lesser pain, due to the distance from the case side and the microUSB slot on the board -The microUSB is a poor choice for the current that the RP3 typically pulls, and it's something you don't want to repeatedly insert & remove. The solution was to add a microSD card extender, and bring the power port out of the case. The case is tight for space, and none of my bulkhead mounted USB extensions would comfortably fit, so I came up with the next best thing. Notes: 1-The mSD extension is available from a number of sources. I used [microSD extender](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09CKRDFTH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1) Note that the board is advertised as 28mm wide, but I've seen them as much as 28.5mm. You may need to sand the sides to have a snug fit in the card holder. Don't overdue it as the holding tabs are very small and need to be effective. 2- the mSD holder is a separately printed item. Making it a part of the back creates a royal pain during printing, with extensive supports needed. My solution was to insert it afterwards, and the fit keeps it in place. It can be mounted with judicious use of a couple drops of adhesive 3- I used a zip tie as a strain relief on the power cord. Make sure your power cord can handle the current (around 3A max) for the length without excess voltage drop. 4- note the orientation of the ribbon cable. There is little excess to spare. I snipped the sharp points on the solder joints underneath the RP3 to prevent shorts to the cable. 5- assemble the RP3, screen, and power plug and fan. Then insert the mSD card slot thru the back plate. Assemble the card holder to the card, pass back thru the slot, and then screw down the back to the main case. Ensure the ribbon cable folds next to the screen as the back is assembled. There's no need to force anything.
