Raspberry Pi 3 - case

This is a design to 3d print a Raspberry Pi 3 case. This **IS NOT** compatible with any previous versions (Raspberry Pi 2 or older) * This case comprises of a top and bottom half connected by screws. * Your Raspberry Pi 3 has to be connected to the bottom half by screws. * Additional mount holes are present on bottom half if you prefer to attach the whole case to a VESA compliant mount. * Case exposes all the major pi ports: power, audio, hdmi, Lan, 4 USB ports, memory card. * The GPIO pins are not exposed by default BUT there is a perforated tab here - so if you need GPIO ports too, just pressing down with a flat screwdriver over the dotted tabs. * Case supports regular size heat sink. * *Case does not support fan.* #####Screws needed: Four M3 x 6mm sheet metal screws - to attach pi to the case. Four #4 x 3/4" sheet metal screws Alternative: M3 x 18mm - to attach both cases together. Four 75mm VESA **<---Optional** ####Credit Being my first design on Thingiverse, I remixed the outstandingly awesome and detailed design by [0110-M-P](https://www.thingiverse.com/0110-M-P) at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:922740. That design has multiple designs for both pi 2 and pi 3 as well as great documentation. The only changes I made were to add a raspberry logo vent on top. And also, additional vents on the side. ####Future improvements: #####Printing If you use a coarse 3d-printing layout (like I did when I printed this), you would have issues with the leaves of the raspberry pi logo not being complete. (see picture) I will fix this soon. #####Screws The M3 screw size for connecting pi to case is a bitlarger than it should be. I had no issues but I was very careful screwing the pi on since it did feel tight. The Pi actually requires M2.5 screws but the holes on this design are too big. This was a design flaw in the original one - may not get to fixing this unless I am printing more cases. #####Led lights The led lights in this case are full covered. This should still shine through the plastic. But when I 3d printed the bottom half of my case in red, I could see the red led clearly. But could barely see the green. I want to make the leds exposed next time. #####Memory slot It works fine now I think I want to expose more of the memory slot. #####VESA mounts I am thinking of making a design without the VESA mounts.
