If you like to share files with your family, but don't trust all the Googles, Apples, Microsoft and other Clouds, you need your "owncloud" / "nextcloud", "Open Media Vault" or whatever you like. But 99,9% won't (or can't) install a real, big server at home. Those "professional" servers need room, consume plenty of electricity, are loud and mostly absolutely overpowered just for a private "cloud" / server. (Considering there is an Computer like the "Orange Pi Zero Plus" with Gigabit Ethernet for less than 40€ and 1TB-HDD for roundabout 40€) So this could be interesting for you. Just mount your Raspberry Pi 2/3/3+/4, Orange Pi, Odroid, Banana Pi or whatever is mechanically compatible with a Raspberry Pi (or the other models) onto a 2,5" HDD/SSD and install the Software you like: Your own cloud is done (beside the settings for the router, cloud/nas software et cetera of course...^^) Remember, the most save place for your data/files is your own server. I've also uploaded a picture of the screws I've used, in case someone needs this info. ------------ Buy me a beer, only if you like my designs. <form action="https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr" method="post" target="_top"> <input type="hidden" name="cmd" value="_s-xclick" /> <input type="hidden" name="hosted_button_id" value="UPN82TK7WGX4N" /> <input type="image" src="https://pyromaniac.goip.de/Logopack/buy-me-beer-paypal.png" border="0" name="submit" title="PayPal - The safer, easier way to pay online!" alt="Donate with PayPal button" /> <img alt="" border="0" src="https://www.paypal.com/en_DE/i/scr/pixel.gif" width="1" height="1" /> </form> Edit: Also included some HDD/SSD-Stacks if you want to "make it big". Different versions with "hard" corners, or smoothed rounding. Edit 2: Also added a Holder for the "Orange Pi One", just in case there is someone else out there who uses this type of ARM Board ;) Edit 3: Added another holder for "Orange Pi Zero" / "Orange Pi R1". If you want me to add another board that does not fit the ones already published here, just comment the dimensions of the board, hole spacing and screw diameter, or best: publish a picture/link of the technical drawing. Edit 4: The watt meter says: Orange Pi One and Orange Pi PC (incl. HDD/SSD are both consuming only 4-4,5W. Edit 5: Added the "A20 OlinuXino Lime 2", but not yet verified that the dimensions are correct. Edit 6: Added "Raspberry PiBow Coupe". Edit 7: Added 2 holder for "Raspberry Pi Zero" (not yet verified that it fits)
