Raspberry Pi mounting bracket for Martian Rover

Raspberry Pi mounting bracket for Martian Rover

thingiverse

This is a mounting bracket that fits inside the Martian Rover to allow a Raspberry Pi to be installed and the circuit board held securely. There are also mounting points for the motor speed controllers (held in with tie wraps), a dual-channel relay board (as seen in the picture) and a 5V switch mode regulator under the PI to provide a stable 5v from the 7V LiPo battery. I used a TI LMZ31710EVM board because I had it lying around but it's quite big... there are much smaller ones on ebay. I use one of the relays driven off the motor speed controller regulator to turn on and off the power to the Pi.
