A networked 3D printer was created by installing Raspberry Pi running Octoprint on a Solidoodle, which previously had its spool holder removed. Four existing holes were utilized to attach the RasPi to the case. The design is based on http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:79036 but with altered mounting tab and hole positions. This mount can be set in either direction. To assemble, print the base from the provided link, and print the top cover from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:79036. The spool holder bracket should be removed and replaced with the case using the same screws. Adjustments to holes may be necessary. For safety, electrical tape can be placed on interior screws, although clearance is sufficient for original socket cap screws. Alternatively, two screws can be omitted or replaced with pan-head ones. The tabs are thinner than the spool clip by 1-1.5mm, so standoffs between the case and frame may be used if ventilation concerns arise, but it seems sufficient without them. Tested with Raspberry Pi Rev. B. SCAD source file requires an STL of the original base from the source thing for compilation.
