Raspberry Pi Printer Enclosure Control Box (WORK IN PROGRESS)

THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS AND HAS NOT BEEN PRINTED OR TESTED <strong>I am only posting the STEP file for now since it is a work in progress and I have not printed it, but feel free to remix it. Once I print and test it, I will update this with the final model and the STL's.</strong> I'm currently working on a new version with a removable tray for the Pi since I now plan to use a Pi4 with this project. I would not recommend printing this until I can test everything and post the final version. However if you do print it, or otherwise find a problem please let me know in the comments. Please post any remixes as well. This requires a large printer, and measures approx 290x230mm. This is a design for a printer control box which will use the following parts: MEAN WELL RD-65A Dual Output Enclosed Power Supply 5V 8 Amp and 12V ARTGEAR 2-Input 6-Output Car Standard Blade Fuse Holder https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07B7HV1ZM/ SODIAL 3 Pin IEC320 C14 Inlet Module Plug Fuse Switch Male Power Socket 10A 250V https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00F4MGRRE/ PG 13.5 Cable Gland (qty 2) Noctua NF-A9x14 PWM, Premium Quiet Fan DC 12V 3Pin PWM PC CPU Fan Temperature Contro Similar to this: https://www.amazon.com/Wire-PWM-Case-Speed-Controller/dp/B077SLWWXL/ 0.28" LED Display Digital Thermometer Module for DS18B20 Temperature Sensor RED Mini Digital DC Voltmeter 0.28 Inch Two-Wire 2.5V-30V (qty 2) similar to these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0761MG9NS/ Round illuminated switches (qty 5) https://www.ebay.com/itm/8PCS-LED-W1-Dot-Light-12V-Car-Auto-Boat-Round-Rocker-ON-OFF-TOGGLE-SPST-SWITCH/191941530345 Raspberry Pi 3B+ 5mm Steel Dowel Pins (for the Hinges) https://www.amazon.com/Stainless-Support-Fasten-Elements-Assortment/dp/B07VH3B75P/ Springs from a cheap ball point pen (Qty 2) - used for the latches This also uses M3 nuts and bolts (sorry I cannot provide the sizes currently, but most will be under 20mm), and M3 insert nuts like these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01IYWUUH8/ The cover over the power supply compartment is designed to use M3 screws to "lock" it, in addition to the sliding latch, to keep it from being easily opened. To use these screws, M3 inserts would need to be put into the holes on the sides of the lid, and M3 screws then go though the case, into the lid (and M3 inserts) which would secure the lid over the power supply. There is also a place for M3 screws and inserts to secure the cover over the Pi. Additionally, to mount the Pi, the 2.5mm holes in the board will need to be (carefully) opened up to 3mm - or some other mounting arrangement would be necessary for the Pi, since the mounting holes are M3. The hinges use the 5mm dowel pins, and I have found Gorilla Super Glue works well for securing them in PLA parts. UPDATES: 11/24/2019: Version 3K - moved the RPi and Fuse Block inward by 18mm to give more clearance for HDMI, MicroUSB and Audio cables on the left side of the Pi. 2/10/2020: It has been a while but I am still working on this. I am changing the Pi to a modular mount so it can be removed (slid out) or swapped without too much work. That will also make it more modular since I plan to use a Pi4 in this now.
