Modified "Pi Zero Node" - 18650 powered raspberry pi zero case. This design has a couple of tweaks. I blocked off the power USB port since the original design had a flaw (if you didn't remove power from the battery you could short the system.) I've changed this, by adding a few mm of the external wall (it affected the symmetry, but that side had a tendency to break if you put *any* pressure on it.) Also, added a hole for mounting a raspi camera to the case, there's enough room over the leftmost side of the case to fit either the spycam version or the regular picam. Just apply some tape over the back (I didn't think there was room for a decent sliding mount inside the case.) The battery is sufficient to run for a few hours capturing timelapse/looking for movement. Otherwise, you should think of it as a backup battery. For the connectors: what I'd recommend is use copper tape on the pads for the battery (or if you want to use connectors you can tape the same pads to the battery with some Kapton tape.
