I used this to avoid having to mount the endstop for X-axis on the X-carriage. You just need to make sure Y is always homed before homeing X. I had to add a 2 mm spacer (i just used a small nut) for the Y-axis endstop to match up with the X-carriage. My endstops is of type Omron D2F-01L3-D
