Ray gun prop - print in parts for smaller printers
prusaprinters

WerkRaum's model (originally based on https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2091732) is awesome, but I wanted one I could print in different parts rather than sand-and-paint.

This version was remodelled from scratch using that design as reference, and split into parts which would fit on the MINI+. It doesn't include the electronics and working trigger so is just a static prop.

3mf files include filament changes and supports where needed if opened in PrusaSlicer.

f3d file includes a parameter
fit
to adjust the gap tolerance where the pieces fit into each other.

Assembly

primary colour

print the body left and right and glue together

print the handle and trigger and glue into place

trim colour

print the sides and fin and glue into place

filament change - both colours

print the antenna with trim colour and the tip in primary colour (or a bright danger colour if you prefer!)

print the barrel+trim starting with trim colour and alternating filament every change.

attach the barrel to the body and glue the rings/bauble to the other end

attach the antenna to the barrel

stand colour

Optionally print the stand to give your model somewhere to sit until you need it.

License

As a remix closely based on but not using any actual part of another design, I've chosen to follow the CC-BY-NC-SA license chosen by that designer.
