Ray5 Laser Z-Axis Screw Mount with Tie-down Holes

thingiverse

This is a Remix of a Remix, originating with Shurtcut's 'Atomstack A5 "Z Axis"Screw Adjustment' then being remixed by Misken as the 'Sculpfun Z-Axis Screw Adjustment'. THIS remixed mount was mixed for the Longer Ray5 Laser's carriage screw placement at 40.25mm+/-, and the arms extended 7mm in each direction to clear the edges of the carriage so the additional holes can be used for zip-tie tie-down points, if needed. This mount works with the adjustment screw and knob from Shurtcuts files (Thing 4741591). I prefer Misken's version of the knob holder/carriage mount because it creates much less stress on the support arms when fitting it to the knob, but Shurtcut's files are perfectly serviceable if you print with a more forgiving material than the PLA I have, AND be sure to print them with a 90-degree forward/backward pivot for strength in the right places. Also, though I have tested printing leaving the file as is and pivoting it forward 90 degrees and both work, there seems to be better strength with the 90-degree print on this as well. Neither broke when attaching them to the knob during testing, but the as-is print did crackle a little under pressure (though I can't see any visible cracks or fractures).
