Raychaser's Quadrotor H-Frame

Raychaser's Quadrotor H-Frame

We needed a robust, cheap, strong quadrotor/multicopter frame for a project but were unhappy with the options on websites like Hobbyking. Also I'm new to all this and when you crash a lot it's nice to be able to print out parts cheaply. This is the every-evolving frame we designed with printable pieces and wooden (or aluminum... or anything really) 1/2" 40cm arms. Designed in sketchup. Printed on a Makerbot Replicator 2. See it in action here:http://youtu.be/0ZLPQNrojcU This project was part of a larger one to build and deploy a 3D mapping robot. Go here for the full story: Instructions Print out 4 motor mounts, 8 cable ties, 3 crossbeams and one each of the back plate and the camera mount. Cut away the mouse ears Cut / Aquire 4 x 40cm x 1/2" x 1/2" pieces of wood or aluminum Drill 4 holes in each beam to line up with the motor mounts and the cross pieces. Assemble.
