Rayo helps to support and provide income for his family by transporting them and cargo around the local area. Rayo’s owners have been helped by our project to learn how to better care for their equines. Rayo’s design has been inspired by the motor racing background of his artist. Rayo was part of World Horse Welfare’s Borough Trail in Windsor and Chelsea between April and August. The master sculpture itself was created by acclaimed artist Judy Boyt based on the story of Lucas, a frozen and abandoned foal who was rescued by World Horse Welfare and has flourished into a beautiful sport horse.
