RC Airplane rod motor mount

RC Airplane rod motor mount

This is a very sturdy, very strong replaceable motor mount that you can mount on any airplane. It is a very innovative, removable design. This motor mount is intended to be mounted on a 10x10mm aluminium, wood or carbon fiber square rod. Once mounted, it is held by two m3 screws to the rod. The rod itself can be inserted into a fully 3D printable tunnel (for motors heavier than 70 grams,https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3580173), a set of spines (for motors up to 70 grams, https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3580178) or glued to the plane itself. This enables you to hot-swap motors on the field by only undoing 2 screws. The mount has fins that direct incoming air streams around the motor mount in a swirl to be taken by the propeller. This feature is only valid for Pusher planes. It increases efficiency and aerodynamics. The mount itself is extremely strong, has been used for well over 2 years and we never had any of them break. The weak point in this system is the dowel itself - which, if you're using a tunnel can also be replaced on the field. Resolution can be anything really, although best results are achieved with 0.2. Bump up the temperature for good layer adhesion. Bottom and top layers along with walls should be 3 or more. Infill 15 to 25%. The mount will take almost any motor. Got any suggestions?
