RC Bare Chassis for displaying 1/10 drift shell & wheels

thingiverse

I needed a simple bare chassis to hold/display my extra RC drift shell and wheels. The chassis is made to be adjustable to fit full size 1/10 scale shell as well as m-chassis shells. The hubs are round so that it the wheels can be removed easily. You will need to enlarge the holes on these if its too tight depending on your printer's tolerance. Its suppose to fit snugly so that it doesn't pull off when removing the wheels. The body post are adjustable once assembled and designed that the shell just rest on the body post "tip". I've made 2 size for the body post connector to fit onto m4 screws as well as 5mm body post depending on how you plan to build yours. There's 3 different style of the mid or main chassis, depending on which type you prefer. A bare light weight, light weight box storage and full box storage. The light weight style chassis is made not to have storage on it. The light weight box storage style is for holding larger object like extra esc, receiver unit, motors or other items that'll not fall through the gap. The full box can hold smaller parts. For the axle, the wide are adjustable and also come with 1(silver) and 3(red) degrees camber. I personally use the 3 degrees print in translucence red in the pic for the front and the silver 1 degree for the rear (in the pic with m4 main body post). To complete the build, you'll need some m4 screw of various size and some m3 screws for the body post. MAIN CHASSIS -M4x10mm x 8pcs (for the arms) -M4x30mm x 4pcs (for the wheels, 20mm is also sufficient) -M4x40mm x 4pcs (optional as main body post or if you prefer to use your spare body post) ADJUSTABLE BODY POST -M3x4mm x 8pcs (for clamping the body posts) -M3x8mm x 4pcs (for joining the 2 body post movable link) You will need to enlarge some of the holes if its too tight. Its suppose to have a snug fit so that you won't require any nuts for the build. Prepare a drill with 9/64 or 3.5mm drill bit and a 3/32 and 2.5mm drill bit. It'll come in handy. Try not to over enlarge the holes like I did the red arms. I'm currently in the process of modding the hub so that it can be shown with the wheels in turning position. Lastly, let me know if you encounter any problem during your build and also post your build. I would like to see yours turn out. Any suggestion for improvement are most welcome. There's always room for improvement. Thanks!
