RC Car Camera/Utility Mount

RC Car Camera/Utility Mount

thingiverse

A generic flat mount for adding stuff to your Tamiya TT-01R Type E car. Just tight enough to snap on very securely without using adhesives - you can easily pick the car up with this. Very strong, too. It'll also fit a netbook. This is more for use with a research vehicle - it may or may not fit with a body shell. It's probably easy to customize for other 1/10 scale RC electric cars. Platform is 105mm x 110mm - almost the length of the whole non-curved section. It has cutouts for the on/off switch and the steering servo. Instructions Print it out on a 3D printer. Snap it on. A lot of the parameters are customizable by changing the variables at the top of the file - this includes the platform width, the car body width, the "tooth" width (the part that snaps over the body) and the tooth thickness. Modifying the cutouts, the rib spacing/placement, and the overall length cannot be done with the variables, but it shouldn't be too hard to figure out. You can modify the scad file to just print out the center ribbing section - use this to check for fit before you print out the whole thing - this will take 1 hour vs. 2.6 hours.
