RC cataraman boat designed by MilkNAME8 in GrabCAD.

Initial Design 25/08/2019
What i did was: 1. to scale up the design to 100cm length. 2. Cut the hull into 4 pieces and the lid into 2 pieces. 3. Add support columns in the pieces, with holes, in order to be aligned correctly during glueing 4. Increase the height in the back of the hull by creating a small aerofoil in order to use rudder with larger base.

Update 15/09/2019
What i did was: 1. to scale up the design to 100cm length. 2. Cut the hull into 5 pieces in order to be compatible with 1Kg filament while printing. With 4 pieces there was a problem because some of them needed more that 1Kg filament material. 3. Add support columns in the pieces, with holes, in order to be aligned correctly during glueing 4. Increase the height in the back of the hull by creating a small aerofoil in order to use rudder with larger base. With the previous design there was a block of material iside the hull with no space to add the screws of the rudder.
Soon i will post and the new lid... i had already start printing the hull in order to be sure for the designs i upload. So as soon as i will finish with the hull i will upload the lid.

Printing Progress

15/09/2019
I had already print the hull5.stl
23/09/2019
I print the allignment pins for the hull, both 10mm and 8mm. If you don't want to drill the holes in the hull just scale down the ping to 98% or 97% otherwise it requires a small drilling because the size of the pins is equal to the size of the holes. I print also the hull4.stl file. Everything was fine, i tested with the allignment pins (8mm) connected with the hull5.stl and it looks great.

20/11/2019
I finally completed the printing of the hull and the lid. You can see the attached images from the result. I have already sand the hull and i am waiting for the carbon fiber fabrics to arrive in order to reinforce it outside. I have already apply carbon fiber inside as you can see from the pictures also. The lid is also ready, and i have finished with the carbon fiber reinforcement. TIP: I have upload two types of the lid stl files. The ones with the scaled_98 are the files for a lid scaled down to 98% in order to fit into the hull if you apply carbon fiber fabric with epoxy resin. Otherwise you can use the other files which are 100%.
Still a WORK IN PROGRESS as I'm still printing, designing and testing. I will post the parts i used and the creation procedure as soon as i am ready. So stay tuned because the description will be updated...
